Meet our Instructors, Tutors and Mentors

Meet Diana, a versatile instructor of the arts, math, and languages. As a passionate self-taught artist, she thrives on exploring diverse cultures, languages, and artistic expressions. Her insatiable curiosity about the universe's language and mysteries led her to pursue a bachelor's degree in physics. Diana genuinely loves teaching scientific subjects and languages, dedicating herself to helping her students overcome their struggles and thrive in their learning journey.

Lee Ann, A mentor, ESL, and Humanities instructor who proudly calls Cape Town, South Africa home. Her profound passion for making a difference in the medical field has led her to immerse herself in the fascinating intricacies of medicine. When she's not absorbed in the captivating world of healthcare, you might catch her binge-watching medical series or soaking up the sun's warmth.

Ivana, a seasoned professional with a global perspective, specializing in language education. Her journey has taken her across the globe, collaborating with diverse individuals, bridging communication gaps, and empowering students. Beyond the classroom, Ivana is a curious enthusiast of science, literature, and the humanities, always eager to learn and grow. In her leisure time, she indulges in podcasts, handcraft projects, TV series, games, and exploring new recipes as a passionate home cook.

Meet Dr. Aqeel, a passionate dental surgeon from Pakistan with passion for teaching. Beyond the dental chair, she finds joy in reading, creative writing, indulging in movies, and exploring culinary delights. Driven to defy stereotypes, she aims to reshape perceptions of dentistry, ensuring every patient feels comfortable and at ease.

Dr.Harrow, A remarkable team member originally from Jamaica, has been thriving in the US for 38 years. A culinary enthusiast, she crafts authentic Jamaican dishes like curry goat and Jerk, while grooving to the beats of reggae legends like Bob Marley and Buju Banton. With 28 years as an Economist, she's left her mark on both the US Federal government and the International Monetary Fund in Washington DC. Having explored 50+ countries and lived in East Africa, her global perspective enriches her work. Based in Maryland, she treasures family time with her two adult children and her Himalayan cat.

Mira teaches science prep courses at Achieve. She’s passionate about mentoring students on their educational paths and is an active tutor. She enjoys crocheting and learning about Middle Eastern cities.

Peyton teaches science prep courses at Achieve. He’s an avid traveler and enjoys exploring new places, meeting new people, and learning new languages. 

Pablo actively teaches math prep courses at Achieve and has four years of teaching experience. He also pursues academic research in computer programming and math. He enjoys spending time with his family, free diving, and underwater photography.

Philipa teaches math and humanities prep courses at Achieve. She lives with her family in Nigeria and works as a teacher and a school administrator. She enjoys coaching young people, reading, traveling and camping in the countryside.

Lilian is an attorney and certified editor by the Poynter Institute of Media Studies. She teaches college composition and speech prep courses at Achieve. She enjoys spending time with her three children and reading books.

Laura teaches Spanish and Humanities prep courses at Achieve and has more than 8 years of experience in education and culture. She’s helped hundreds of students achieve their learning goals and make progress on their educational journey. She resides in Barcelona, Spain.

Dr. Ford is an educator and author. She has taught writing for many years and authored several successful books. She teaches College Composition prep courses at Achieve. She enjoys spending time with her children and grandchildren. 

Kelly is an educator, editor, and researcher who is passionate about applying psychology to the legal system. She spent several years as a trial consultant where she delved into the fascinating world of jury decision-making. When she’s not working, she enjoys baking delicious treats from around the world while listening to a true crime podcast.

Albert is an active instructor at Achieve and teaches many of our psychology prep courses. He is passionate about learning, as a lifelong process of psychological and social change. Albert is originally from Prague, but has lived all over the world, including England, Peru, Holland and now India. 

Rida is a native Pakistani and teaches speech and psychology prep courses at Achieve. When she’s not teaching, she enjoys shopping, painting and being with her daughter. 

Dolores is a registered nurse with a broad and diverse healthcare career. She teaches developmental psychology and ethics prep courses and finds virtual learning empowering for students. She’s also an active tutor and mentor at Achieve. She resides in New York City and loves exploring her city in her spare time. 

Dr. Wade has worked in the Criminal Justice field for over 30 years, including fugitive recovery, forensics and cold case homicides. She’s an active teacher, writer and researcher. She currently resides in North Carolina and enjoys spending time with her children, grandchildren and dogs.

Dr. Wolff is a dual PhD in Sociology and History and holds additional degrees in the Fine Arts and Humanities. He’s retired from the U.S. Army in the fields of Artillery and Intelligence. When he’s not teaching and researching, he’s in the kitchen baking or traveling the world with his wife. 

Dr. Trujillo has over 30 years of experience as a registered nurse and has been teaching for over 6 years. She lives in Northwest Indiana and her hobbies include biking, cooking, reading and gardening. 

Laura has over 40 years of career experience as a registered nurse and she currently works as a Nursing Supervisor for a home health agency. She teaches our nursing entrance exam prep course, as well as other science courses. She resides in Long Island, NY.

Dr. Thompson is a licensed medical doctor who currently resides in California, USA. She’s an active instructor for our Nursing exam prep courses, and supports one-on-one tutoring for nursing students.

Dr. Vidanovic is a Doctor of Medicine and teaches our nursing exam prep courses and other science courses. When she’s not working or studying, she enjoys spending time outside with friends, singing, dancing and cooking.

Diane is an active registered nurse in addition to teaching many of Achieve’s nursing test prep courses. She has two additional Masters degrees and has worked in the fields of medical research and education for most of her career. She enjoys spending her free time with her children and granddaughter.
